Urge your fellow Australians to Listen to the Heart

Help answer the call of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christian Leaders, like Boandik woman Aunty Di Langham, who are urging Australians to support the Voice and calling on national leaders to stop locking up children as young as 10… to support justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

“That 10 year olds can be incarcerated is an absolute disgrace. I think God must weep every-time He sees it. ” Reverend Aunty Di Langham.

As the Uluru Statement from the Heart reminds us, Australia’s First Nations people are the most imprisoned people on the planet. And far too many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, from the tender age of 10, languish in detention. Children as young as 10, should be loved, not locked up. They should be our hope for the future. They should be supported to heal and grow and flourish as God intended.

Today, you can help urge Australians to Listen to the Heart with your gift.

Yes, I will give now

Your gift to Listen to the Heart will support compassionate and Christ-like advocacy. You’ll encourage your fellow Australians (including the Church and national leaders) to stand up for what is loving and just.

As followers of Jesus, we have an opportunity to stand up for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander justice. To call for what is loving, what is godly, and what is right.

“God is the answer. Not the God who condemns… but a God who loves me unconditionally, warts and all. A God who has carved me in the palm of His hand. He has taught us a better way to live.” Rev. Aunty Di

Here’s how your caring gift can impact Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander justice:

  • Your caring gift can continue to help amplify the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christian Leaders. Thank you for ensuring that the Common Grace movement is deeply listening and learning from the wisdom of First Nations Christian Leaders.

  • Your caring gift can help equip Australian Christians to meet with their MPs… and call on them to raise the age of criminal responsibility to 14 years of age. Thank you for joining in calling our national lawmakers to stop locking up children as young as 10…. For supporting all children to be loved and to heal and flourish as God intended.

Give Now

We are at a critical moment in Australia’s history. We have an opportunity now to stand up for what is loving, what is godly and what is good.

When you donate today you are part of calling for a fairer world. A world where First Nations children and communities can flourish as God intended.
